Other important aspects of Confucianism are respect for educators and ancestors and the Five Relationships: between ruler and minister, father and son, husband and wife, elder and younger brother, and friend and friend.

Confucianism also encourages education. Confucius believed that learning was essential for self-improvement. He said “I teach and learn”, meaning that everyone needs to learn and improve regularly.

Confucius was living in a time of social chaos and upheaval, and he wanted to provide a framework of order, morality, and respect. His philosophy still influences Chinese people today, shaping the way they think and socialize.
