摘要：A tape cassette 30 includes a tape mounted within a cassette case 31. The
cassette case 31 includes an arm portion 34 that guides the tape inside and dischargesthe tape from an exit 34A. An arm front surface 35 of the arm portion 34 includes an armindicator portion adjacent to the exit 34A. The arm indicator portion includes at least oneaperture and indicates a tape type.. A person can identify the tape type by visuallychecking the arm indicator portion. The tape printer 1 includes detecting switches 210. Apart of the detecting switches 210 that opposes a surface portion other than theaperture in the arm indicator portion is selectively pressed. The tape printer 1 canidentify the same tape type as identified by the visual check based on detection results ofthe detecting switches 210.
